*My Story

I am

a fireball. strong-willed. open and honest, but hasty and brash. still an idealist but not an ideologue.

I earn my daily bread

I work at UnCommon Law. We represent prisoners serving life sentences in California. We represent lifers in parole consideration hearings and in a class action lawsuit that challenged the Board of Parole Hearings' practice of delaying parole hearings.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

I use language carefully, which is difficult for someone who wants to see things happen now! I take deep breaths before I speak. I claim my power. I listen carefully to my constituency and take leadership from them as much as I ask them to follow mine.

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

Law school! For years I worked on organizing Jews to end the Israeli occupation. Recently, I decided that I want to be a lawyer.
