*My Story
- I earn my daily bread
I earn my daily bread as an editorial assistant, writer, and photographer at Edutopia magazine (George Lucas Educational Foundation) in Marin. I'm also a part-time SAT Tutor for Kaplan Test Prep, but offer the same service independently as well as admission essay counseling. I was an art mentor at Creekside Middle School this past pilot year, and I hope to stay affiliated with ArtLinks. I haven't yet (but hope to do so soon) earned my daily bread doing what I love the most: creative writing.
- Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years
I am a Northern California native who spent his college years on the east coast and loved every minute of the foul weather. Traveling is a big part of my life, and last year I spent 3 months with my girlfriend touring Europe and Asia with luxurious backpacks. We hope to get back on the road in the next bunch of years. I am interested in picking up stories and learning many ways of existence to inform my self and my writing, and I think traveling is a great way to do that. My love for education will come with me no doubt, and, in the next 3 to 5, I hope to spend a semester, at the least, teaching English or photography in a foreign country. I also expect to follow through with many plans that have passed throug my head but never materialized.
