*My Story

I am

in my 12th year of teaching and still excited to be going to school each day!

I earn my daily bread

by teaching in a mulit-age 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classroom in St. Helena, California. My students are with me for three year so community is an important factor in the foundation of my classroom atmosphere. My students enjoy a challenging project-based curriculum that they help to develop each year. I partner with two other multi-age teachers who are as dedicated to making the curriculum as alive and meaningful to our students as I am.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

I've learned to really listen to what people are saying to me as well as be the kind of staff member others will want to work with.

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

I've always been involved in some type of leadership role since I began teaching. At the moment, I really don't know where I'll be in the next 3-5 years. One of my goals as a Verger is to figure this out!
