*My Story

I am

A daughter, sister, friend, and educator.  I am passionate, caring, and kind.  I believe that it is important to enjoy life and keep smiling.

I earn my daily bread

I am a fifth grade teacher at a wonderful charter school in Oakland.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

Since I have been a part of OTV, I have been challenged and encouraged to push myself in all areas of my life.  I have had the privilage to work with a wonderful group of individuals and through them I am inspired to improve my skills as a leader.  I have learned to truly listen to people.  At work I implement techniques and startegies that I receive from OTV meetings.

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

I was born and raised in New Jersey.  From New Jersey I headed west to the wonderful state of Arizona, where I earned my undergraduate degree.  I come from a background rich in education.  I will continue to spread what I have learned to others and I will also continue to educate myself.  I expect to earn a graduate's degree in adminstration and use that degree to become a principal of an elementary school.  I know that I will continue to stay in the field of education.
