*My Story

I am

a runner, a great cook, a reader, a writer, a daughter, a sister...

I earn my daily bread

coaching beginning teachers full-time with Reach.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

THERE'S a big question. I have spent much time reflecting on my own patterns of behavior and taking note of what helps or hinders my ability to connect with and foster others' growth. I have learned to be more human and admit my mistakes (well, some of them, at least!). I have started to "think bigger"-- what more could I do to make an impact on the world?

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

I grew up in Santa Barbara, went to Cal and stayed in the Bay Area. I taught middle school for seven years in San Rafael and now my time is divided between our San Jose and Oakland schools. I hope to have my doctorate in education in 3 years (I'm currently in the UC Davis program) and I hope to be applying this knowledge to my work in Reach as we expand and improve upon our programs.
