*My Story

I am

I am a strong woman full of compassion, love, humor, and life.  I am striving to be in the present moment in my experiences, and my relations.

I earn my daily bread

By being an advocate for special education youth, parents, and teachers, removing labels, broadening perspectives of what it means to be "intelligent," teaching, and helping to create a new teacher's college.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

I am learning how to be real with my collegues, make direct requests, and how to take care of myself while providing support to others.

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

I come from a conscious family that instilled social justice and the hope of change in me. I come from a father that was a Civil Right's attorney, and a mother with a heart of gold.  I come from past challenges that have instilled strength and purpose in my life.

In the next 3-5 years I expect to be in a psychology or social work grad school program, traveling around the world, and mentoring new teachers on how to work with special education youth in a full inclusion setting.
