*My Story

I am

a strong, passionate woman.

I earn my daily bread

As a musician, a teacher, an organizer.

How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV

Through OTV, I am learning not only to think critically, but to explore my emotional self and gain more clarity about my feelings. I have uncovered old ways of thinking that are holding me back, developed more effective means of communication, and become part of a group that will support me as I take risks necessary to achieve great things.

Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years

In January of 2006, I was fearful about the future. I couldn’t dare to imagine where I wanted to be in 3 or 5 years, because I felt convinced that hope and optimism only lead to disappointment. After 8 months in On the Verge, I have realized that by dreaming, taking risks, and relying on others for help and insight I can make the future what I want it to be.
