*My Story
- I am
A Filipina woman that is committed to community building and life long learning.
- I earn my daily bread
as the Operations Director at V.O.I.C.E.S. (Voice Our Independent Choices for Emancipation Support). In addition to coaching young people to become successful independent adults, I am responsible for both managing the day-to-day activities and creating and supervising systems related to operations, financials, scheduling, staffing, and communication.
- How my leadership has changed as a result of OTV
My leadership has shifted from a solitary leader to one that is more collaborative. I am now thinking and acting with the intention of supporting others in stepping into their leadership. It’s through OTV, that I have learned the critical element that relationships play in my life.
- Where I’ve come from and where I expect to be in the next 3-5 years
Previous to joining the V.O.I.C.E.S. team, I was working statewide in the field of youth development and service-learning. In the next 3-5 years, I hope to be working in a diverse community creating opportunities for people to connect, learn, and grow.
