A major project of the McPherson Neighborhood Initiative, the Family Resource Center (FRC) engages parents, families and community adults in creating positive opportunities for their children. Through the FRC, parents are becoming active leaders in their community, partnerships are being built with other service-providing agencies, and parents are becoming more engaged in their children’s education.
The FRC provides a variety of high quality services including:
- Health Services including yoga and exercise classes and references for children’s health insurance
- Job and Employment Services including assistance with job applications, resumes, and unemployment applications
- Educational Services including classes in adult literacy, community leadership, parenting, technology, ESL, and a Parent University
- Information and Referral Services
